A musical artifact, something for the collectors and connoisseurs. Originally released by Echomusic and Editions Zero, now reissued by ΚΕΜΑL, the promising new sub-label of badass techno imprint Berceuse Heroique, with additional Vatican Shadow and Pete Swanson interpretations. Intense live recordings  from fire walking rituals, recorded in the village of Agia Eleni, Serres, Greece back in 1979.

Disc one features a series of recordings from these spiritual, religous ritual performances. Its an experience most of us would never witness with our eyes, but to be transported right into the midst of it all with these audio recordings is something truly special. Hear the fire coals charring away and the wood sparking off into flames as the masses engulf into a trance of spiritual song and heartfelt music. To make that connection more tangible, the reinterpretations transcend time and space with canny, faithful appropriations of the original samples (marked in reverse order on the jacket!), with Vatican Shadow at his Muslimgauze-like best melding the texture of the originals with rugged, rolling rhythm harking back to his amazing "Ornamented Walls" LP, and Pete Swanson seemingly trampling on nuclear waste. Intense, magical.
