Holsten makes a welcome return to the DROOGS imprint following his blistering debut last year with the weighty ‘Carrier Wave’ laying down a heavy bass that sets firm foundation for punchy drum workouts. Building on his established sound Holsten gives a nod to some of Drum & Bass’ most dearly held traditions. Another feather in the hat of a rising star of the genre.

Artilect’s ‘Echos’ declares a different tribute that firmly pays homage to the late 90s. A sound resurrection that plays with the space between drums and subtle tribal persuasion. The track lands running and keeps pushing. Tense, electrifying, retro-referential while undoubtably now.
